ಭಾರತದ ನೌಕೆಯು ಚಂದ್ರನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೌತುಕ ತುಂಬಿರುವ ಅದರ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಧ್ರುವದ ಬಳಿ ಇಳಿಯುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಕನಸು ಇದೀಗ ನನಸಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಇಸ್ರೋ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕೆ. ಶಿವನ್ ಹರ್ಷ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಂದ್ರಯಾನ-3 ಸಾಫ್ಟ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಡಿಂಗ್ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗುರುವಾರ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಖುಷಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
‘ಚಂದ್ರಯಾನ-2’ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಣ್ಣ ದೋಷದಿಂದ ನಾವು ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾವು ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಈ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು. ಸಣ್ಣ ತಪ್ಪಿನಿಂದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಬಾಹ್ಯಾಕಾಶ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷ ಕಾಯಬೇಕಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

2019ರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಚಂದ್ರಯಾನ-3ರ ತಯಾರಿ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ಆದ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳು ಪುನಾರಾವರ್ತನೆ ಆಗಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಆಗಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಪೂರ್ವ ತಯಾರಿ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ವೈಫಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿದ್ದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಯಾವ ಯಾವ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಕೂಡ 2019ರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಆ. 23 ರಂದು ನೋಡಿದೆವು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
