ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ಅಲಾಸ್ಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂಕಂಪ (Earthquake) ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಸುನಾಮಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಭೂಕಂಪಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.
ರಿಕ್ಟರ್ ಮಾಪಕದಲ್ಲಿ 7.3 ತೀವ್ರತೆ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಮುದ್ರದ 36 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಆಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂಕಂಪ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಅಲಾಸ್ಕಾ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ದ್ವೀಪದ ಸ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ನಿಂದ 87 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದರ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಬಿಂದು ಇತ್ತು ಎಂದು ಎನ್‌ಸಿಎಸ್ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಭೂಕಂಪದ ನಂತರ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಅಲಾಸ್ಕಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ದ್ವೀಪದ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುನಾಮಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
